Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. Yirgacheffe is a town in the Sidamo region of southern Ethiopia, and the coffees from this region are renowned for their floral and fruit notes. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is grown at an altitude of approximately 5700 feet above sea level, and is considered by many to be the finest Ethiopian coffee.
Fragrant and floral, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is prized by connoisseurs for its delicate fragrance, with a thick body coupled with cinnamon and strawberry undertones. We roast this bean to the City Roast level (medium light) to bring out the complex origin flavors of this great coffee bean.
